Cut out animation is a style of animation that utilises shapes that have been cut out of certain resources for example magazines, newspapers, card, and other materials. These shapes are placed together to create a frame of a scene, when the frame is completed it is then captured using a camera. After the frames are captured they are then sequenced together. After being reviewd if creators are unhappy with the speed of the animation, they can add more frames to fill in more gaps in between the frames which will create a slower animation or they can remove some frames from the sequence to fasten up the speed and then capture the frames again
When it came to creating the cut out animation me and my team started our production by creating a storyboard, this storyboard helped us get a better understanding of the shots and angles we were going to incorporate into our production.
We then started gathering our resources and as a group we gathered a variety of different magazines and newspapers.
The many different magazines and newspapers we gathered-
After gathering our resources I started drawing out our backgrounds and sets for our animation. After I completed this step I helped my team mates cut out shapes for our animation.

My team started cutting out the shapes we were going to animate.
I then opened up the iMotion software and configured it to a manual setting, so that we could capture each frame of the animation.
The next step was using Blu tack to place the shapes in place on the background. we then placed the frame on a light screen and I moved the shapes very slightly in between capturing them using the software.
Me moving the shapes around and creating the frame-
After capturing the frames the next step was rendering our footage, so I reviewed the footage with the team and since we were satisfied with the video and its speed I rendered it.
Overall once we finished the video we had a unique animation, which had different shots and looked aesthetically appealing.
